Oftentimes we see American flagpoles on the front lawn of houses usually owned by everyday people not just government officials and wealthy families. And whenever we see one, we wonder why the owners of the house decided to put up a flagpole. Their reasoning is similar to most of us Americans. They take pride in their flag and they would want to show other people that they are happy being Americans.
We, Americans have different ways of honoring our flag. Some hang fan flags on their walls. Others place indoor flagpoles by their desk at work. And quite a few post the American flag on their doors. Regardless of the manner each of us take, our reason boils down to one - we all want to honor the American flag.
Amongst the number of ways mentioned above, why do some people choose to put up residential flagpoles? Some of the owners say that their land area is extensive and a residential flagpole is appropriate. Others say that it adds prestige to their houses and they find joy every time they get a glimpse of the flag. Besides, seldom do we see residential flagpoles and whenever someone visits their place, it becomes the center of attraction.
The American flag is always a pleasant sight in and out of the house. That is why it is best if we display our flags on the most visited area because not only will we be reminded of our origin and beliefs rather we let other people appreciate our country and the ideals we believe in.
